Full-Day Field Trip

Students will explore the very best of Revolutionary Philadelphia as they encounter stories of the diverse people who shaped the nation.  Students will become active participants in the debate over independence as they learn about the important choices that faced women, people of African descent, Native Americans, and others.  They will even have the opportunity to decide what they would have done given the same circumstances.

Our guides tell interactive stories outside The Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley, Christ Church, Franklin Court, Carpenters' Hall, and  Independence Hall. At midday, students will have lunch outside the Arch Street Meetinghouse (weather permitting) and a short program inside the historic building.

  • Duration: 3.5 - 4 hours with scheduled time for bathroom breaks and lunch. Bring your own brown bag lunches, our staff will do the rest!

  • Ask us about ordering box lunches from our partner, Campo's Deli, Philly's best cheesesteaks and sandwiches

  • Suggested start times are 9am, 9:30am, and 10am.

  • We depart from the Independence Transportation Center located at 540 Race Street adjacent to the National Constitution Center.

  • Our field trips are best suited for students in Grade 4 and up.
